SE TransStadia & Playsport are launching the 2nd edition of India International Sports Summit on Saturday, 24 September 2011 at The Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai.
The premier sports convention promises to be a high quality, high stature event platform for knowledge sharing supported by the industry stakeholders working in unison to push for policy reforms in the Indian sports industry. It is also a networking platform for industry professionals.
The debut edition of the sports convention in March 2010 was in partnership with The Setco Group, Olympic Gold Quest, Yes Bank, CNBC TV18, Ernst & Young & StadiArena UK. Australia was the partner country of the convention.

TransStadia has received government sanction to develop a multi-sports facility in a PPP model with the Government of Gujarat where TransStadia's investment is close to US$ 100 Million. This iconic facility developed in a consortium of Scottish and Indian architectural firms will house a 25,000 seat multipurpose football stadium, sports academy, center of sports medicine, player living facilities, indoor arena and leasable space. The business plan and project feasibility was done by Ernst & Young.
TransStadia Technologies has also set up a factory to manufacture the globally patented modular arena seating technology under license from M-TAG Switzerland. The English National Team's official practice facility at Moruleng Stadium, Rustenburg, at the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa was made using this technology. Modular stadiums are certified for global sporting events, easy to set up & dismantle, environment friendly, multi-use, low cost versus brick & mortar and guaranteed for long life.
Playsport is launching Beach Soccer India Championships in association with FIFA Beach Soccer
Worldwide under the aegis of AIFF with Goa Football Association as the host state and the North East Run in Shillong under the aegis of Ministry of Sports, Government of Meghalaya.
